Adults
make, create, play, heal
One on one Art therapy is an empowering journey of self-discovery. In this safe and non-judgmental space, the arts offer you an extensive, rich and colourful vocabulary to:
Cultivate self-compassion
Develop greater self-awareness
Learn new and healthier coping skills
Nurture creativity and authentic expression
Inspire renewed interest, resilience and hope
Help make sense of what can at first glance appear confusing and difficult
Reduce stress and anxiety
Clarify goals and objectives
Improve your personal capacity for growth
Build emotional awareness and empowerment
Express and communicate your pain, distress, hopes and dreams
Cultivate a curious and non-judgmental stance towards your emotions
Together we will experiment, take risks, play and let go of any expectations about the final outcome by suspending judgement and witnessing what shows up, for when we are skilled improvisers, we learn to adapt and stay open to the natural unfolding of experiences, and we naturally become more resilient.
Confidential, caring and respectful Art therapy is a gentle invitation for embodied self-reflection, creative play and reconnecting with what brings you joy.
How can Art therapy help you?
One of my roles is to help identify any personal ‘blind spots’ and patterns of behaviour that have been holding you back, along with helping you experience personal growth and develop greater happiness and acceptance of yourself.
We all have patterns that no longer serve us that we keep coming back to, which is why individual therapy is a gift you can give yourself and your loved ones, because when you work with a therapist, you’re giving yourself the time you need to reflect and discover new things about yourself.
Together we will shine a light on any unhelpful behaviours, face painful realities, examine your past relationships and look for new ways to handle conflict.
The artmaking, expression and play may also help you:
Gain a greater sense of clarity and understanding of your future
Learn strategies and tactics for breaking past behaviours and moving forward with peace and strength
Whatever your reasons for engaging in individual therapy, you can expect to be welcomed with warmth and openness in to an environment that is genuine, supportive, and individually tailored to suit you. Please call me on 0481 258 118 or send an email from our contact page.
